Motion picture money used at Bismarck businesses

So far this year, there have been 32 counterfeit cases in Bismarck and the police department says 20 of those instances involved $100 bills.

They say several of those were from motion pictures.

Just Wednesday, counterfeit bills were passed at three different businesses in the area.

"Just be aware that someone is passing this funny money around and it's hundred dollar bills. And you just got to take a minute to look at it. And obviously it says for 'Motion Picture Use Only' on the front and on the back," said Sgt. Mark Buschena, Bismarck Police Department.

Buschena says to test your bills and to take a better look at money being handed to you.
