(Newsdakota.com) - The mother of a 4-month-old child found dead in Stutsman County last Saturday is currently being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center.
Twenty-five-year-old Justice Maxine Lange is being held in jail for various outstanding warrants and unpaid Jamestown Municipal Court Fines. She was transported from a Fargo hospital to the correctional Center Monday night.
Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser reported that Lange was hospitalized while officials conducted a search for her missing 4 month-old baby. Lange informed authorities that she could not recollect the previous four days or where she had left the baby.
The child's body was found Saturday afternoon near a slough in rural Stutsman County.
Sheriff Kaiser says charges are pending from the Stutsman County State's Attorney and autopsy results.
