HELENA, Mont. - Montana's 2018 Senate race has become very expensive. Forty five million dollars have been spent by two-term incumbent Democrat Jon Tester and his Republican challenger Matt Rosendale.

The Open Secrets political website shows Tester has raised more than $17 million to Rosendale's nearly $4 million.

President Donald Trump will be back in the Treasure State Thursday to campaign for Rosendale.

Tester has accused outside interests of trying to influence the race, but he has accepted out-of-state support from banks, hospitals and conservation groups. Tester's has pocketed more than $2 million from lawyers and law firms.
