BISMARCK, N.D. - Rep. Corey Mock, D-Grand Forks, will not run for House minority leader.

In a release, Mock says he’ll be forming a bipartisan caucus of legislators focused on leadership and professional development.

“It’s been an honor to serve in caucus leadership over the past six years,” Mock said. “But my passion has been building bipartisan relationships and developing a strategic plan for the state of North Dakota, and I’m better positioned for success as a ranking member of our entire legislative team as opposed to leader of the minority party at this time.”

Rep. Josh Boschee, D-Fargo, announced he'll be running for House Minority leader in November.

House and Senate Democrats will elect their leader Sunday.
