Minot's radiation therapist receives first Radiation Therapy Empower Award

MINOT, N.D. - A radiation therapist in Minot is being honored for her patient care.

Tayna Burke received a first-of-its-kind award Wednesday for her work at Trinity CancerCare. Burke was nominated to receive Beekley Medical's very first Radiation Therapy Empower Award. The award is given to cancer care professionals across America who provide the best care for patients and their families.

Burke says if you love what you do, it is easy to come to work everyday, take care of people, and give the best possible care.

"To come to work everyday and to see every patient that we get to care for. We get to see them everyday probably from five to seven weeks and we get to know them, we get to know their families. They are so appreciative of everything that we do for them and it is just a humble experience," said Burke.

Leadership with Trinity praises Burke for her involvement in the community and the focus and care she has for her patients.
