Minot's downtown businesses hold annual Winter Wonderland open house

MINOT, N.D. - The annual Winter Wonderland open house is taking place in downtown Minot.

This year, eight different stores participating, all with the same goal of bringing the city’s downtown to life.

One of those stores participating is Gourmet Chef, and owner Denise Lindbo says she is excited for the annual event.

“It's to get people back downtown again and get started Christmas shopping. We know it is right around the corner. We are not forgetting about Thanksgiving but just getting people back downtown again to celebrate,” said Lindbo.

At every store you will find either a sale or special event. Grow with Me has pictures with Mickey Mouse, Oliver's Attic has 20-percent off, and Gourmet Chef is no different.

“We have a rep coming in tomorrow, she is here from Minneapolis and she is going to be showing Sous Vide, which is a new way of cooking. So she is going to be doing that, she is also going to be doing a new frying pan that we have called black cube. Also some different things with Victorinox cutlery and epicurean cutting boards,” said Lindbo.

The eight stores participating are: Gideon's Trumpet, Michele F, Inspired Interiors, Gourmet Chef, Oliver's Attic, Grow with Me, MainStream Boutique and Main Street Books.

You can participate in a scavenger hunt by going to each store. If you complete it, you have a chance to win a $400 Gift Basket with goodies from every store.
