Minot man to serve six months for embezzling from employer

MINOT, N.D. – A judge has ordered a Minot man to serve six months in jail for embezzling roughly $100,000 from the commercial truck dealer company where he worked.

Prosecutors say 40-year-old Ryan Koble pleaded guilty in district court in Minot Thursday to Class A felony theft, take over $50,000.

Investigators say Koble stole the money while working as a branch manager at Wallwork, Inc.

They say he used a loophole to acquire the money through refund transactions, and made several large purchases, including a boat and a down payment for a truck.

The sentenced called for him to serve three years, with two and a half suspended.

Court records indicate Koble has already paid the money back in restitution. He will serve three years of supervised probation upon release.
