ROLETTE COUNTY, N.D. – Authorities in Rolette County arrested a 30-year-old Minot man after he led them on a high-speed chase Wednesday following an investigation into a fight.
Investigators say they were trying to locate the 911 call of a fight in the city of Rolette, when a van, driven by the suspect, fled from a deputy on to rural county roads.
The pursuit reached speeds of 85 miles per hour. They say he fled on foot and was eventually apprehended by officers.
The suspect, who has outstanding warrants in Ward County, is in custody in the Bureau of Indian Affairs jail, and will likely face charges of fleeing and reckless endangerment with both the tribe and the county.
