Minot man accused of selling oxycodone to confidential informant

MINOT, N.D. – A Minot man faces felony drug charges for selling oxycodone to a confidential informant last April.

State prosecutors say that on April 25 and 26 of 2016, 25-year-old Derrick Gay sold oxycodone tablets to a CI at two separate Minot locations, as part of an undercover drug task force operation.

Court records indicate that the pills were worth $420.

Prosecutors issued a warrant for Gay’s arrest last August, but he wasn’t detained until Monday.

Gay made his initial appearance Monday and will be back in court July 27.

A second person involved in the transactions struck a plea deal in April.
