MINOT, N.D. – Housing agencies in Minot say they’re fed up with the rash of burglaries at coin-operated machines at their properties, and are now offering an award in an effort to hold the culprit accountable.
The Magic City Apartment Association is offering a $600 reward for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. They say the amount may go up over time.
Members of the association say the thief or thieves are not only stealing money, but also causing extensive damage to the coin machines.
Minot Police investigators say the burglaries have primarily taken place at laundromats and apartment complexes.
