MINOT, N.D.- After two and a half years, YWCA Executive Director, Lauren Moore is leaving Minot. Her husband received orders from the Air Force and they are moving to Maryland.
"The YWCA will always have a piece of my heart. Especially the women and children that have come through our doors. Since I have been here there have been over 350 homeless women and children that have stayed in the shelter so that stays close to home for me," said Lauren Moore, YWCA executive director.
Moore's last day at the YWCA is January 15. She is being replaced by Ashley Boyd who has been a vital part of the organization for a couple of years.
"I'm really excited to continue on with this organization that does so much good in Minot that I honestly love. I've got some big shoes to fill so it is kind of nerve racking to take on after Lauren leaves. She has done such an amazing job, but I am so excited for what is to come," said Ashley Boyd, YWCA incoming executive director.
Since Boyd is moving to the Executive Director position, the YWCA is starting interviews to fill the vacant Residents Manager position.
