MINOT, N.D. - Minot School Board President Jim Rostad was elected to the Board of Directors for the North Dakota School Board last week.

Rostad was elected by school board members from across North Dakota during the state's School Boards Association's Annual Convention.

He will be making decisions for the school board at the state level.

Rostad said he feels honored to be named to the board.

“I have been on the school board for 19 years now, so its been quite a while, and I think I've got a lot of experience that helps me in guiding the decisions for the entire state on the board of directors,” said Rostad.

Rostad says he is excited to begin his two-year term soon.
