Minot Public Schools employee on administrative leave pending investigation

MINOT, N.D. – An employee with Minot Public Schools is on administrative leave, pending a district-level investigation.

Todd Sivertson has been placed on administrative leave. Minot Public School Superintendent Dr. Mark Vollmer confirmed the news with KMOT Monday night.

The district is not releasing further information on why Sivertson is on leave, or the reason for the investigation, though Vollmer released the following statement:

“The District has placed Mr. Todd Sivertson on administrative leave pending a District-level investigation. However, nothing further can be discussed at this time per school policy and North Dakota law since the investigation is still pending. The District takes allegations against staff members seriously, and we’re following our policies and doing what we can to ensure we have a safe learning and working environment. Students, staff, and the public are always encouraged to bring concerns or complaints to the attention of school administrators.”

Sivertson works at Magic City Campus High School, according to the school’s website.

Sivertson is not under investigation by the Minot Police Department or the Ward County Sheriff’s Department.
