Minot Minotauros cancel second hockey game of weekend

MINOT, N.D. – For the second time, the Minot Minotauros hockey team has canceled its home opener against the Aberdeen Wings.

Weather conditions made it impossible for the Wings to get to Minot for the two-game series.

The Minotauros say they will work with both the Wings and the Maysa Arena staff to reschedule the series, and fans’ tickets for the games will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

The team released a statement on Facebook that read, in part:

“Our players and staff are equally disappointed that we must wait another week for our home opener and the chance to play in front of the most passionate fans in the NAHL.”

The Minotauros will now open regular season play next Friday and Saturday, hosting the St. Cloud Blizzard.
