MINOT, N.D. - The Fun Zone is headed to the Bubble on Wednesdays.
The fun zone gives parents and children the opportunity to play during the cold Januarys and Februarys we have in North Dakota.
Since its inception the fun zone has been held at the auditorium but now it is taking on a new location at the bubble so people can play "outside".
"Beautiful green space inside. Huge high ceilings so it kind of feels like you're on grass, even though it is winter time. It's just a neat neat feeling. A great place, when you get in there you feel like just running around like a kid, which is what the idea is,” said Ron Merritt, the Minot Park District executive director.
Brining kids to play is a great way to get their energy out but you may meet some new parents with kids the same age.
"It's a great way to get to know people in our community. When you are hanging out and your kids are in an activity you are naturally going to talk to each other, and hopefully forma some friendships and bonds,” said Merritt.
Every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. there will be different activities held in the bubble.
Such as Children's Yoga, Zumba, Golf Pro Lessons, The Roosevelt Park Zoo Animal Educator and even sports day. It is a free event and all ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information you can visit the park district website, www.minotparks.com.
