Minot City Council addresses city manager search, excessive weeds, parking structures

MINOT, N.D. - Minot's City Council tackled a handful of key issues at their monthly meeting Sept. 6.

An agency heading the search for Minot's next city manager says they've received eight applicants so far.

Also, after some lengthy discussion with community members, Mayor Chuck Barney agreed to form an ad-hoc committee to tackle the city's growing problem with weeds and garbage cluttering the city and making pets sick.

Meanwhile, Minot’s city engineer Lance Meyer said the city is working with developers to make sure that what goes on top of the two parking structures downtown complies with the city's building codes.
