Medical marijuana applications now being accepted

North Dakotans can now apply to become a medical marijuana patient or designated caregiver.

The state Department of Health began accepting applications Monday.

Applicants have to include their contact information, a copy of their driver's license,a recent photo and information for their healthcare provider. You'll also need a health care provider to sign off on it.

The cost to apply is $50.

The state expects to mail out registry ID cards for those approved in December.
