MCKENZIE COUNTY, N.D. - McKenzie County School District #1 is dealing with fast-paced growth in student enrollment, and they say data projections show their student population is going to double within the next 10 years.

Superintendent of schools Steve Holen says part of the plan to keep up with current numbers and prepare for the future is building a new elementary school in Watford City. To make sure they have all the information, the district is hosting a final forum on the project next Thursday, with three sessions: Session one, 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Session two, 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Session three, 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The final forum is Thursday, Jan. 3. The bond vote is Jan. 8.
