A fire on Wednesday left one dead and three injured northeast of McClusky.
In a small community the death of a child hits hard.
After Wednesday's tragedy little is left of the home of the family of four.
News of the loss has struck everyone in town a little differently. One firefighter says he went home and made fire escape plans for his own kids. Another resident says she had to go visit her grandchildren, "just to see their faces."
"He was a good little customer of mine. He came in and pushed my little shopping carts around. He always brought a smile to our face, he always made us laugh. We're a small tight-knit community and it effects all of us, I have grandchildren, it's like losing one of my own," said Diane Holen, grocer.
