Masonic Lodge picks up the grocery tab for 20 shoppers in Minot

MINOT, N.D. - Twenty families in need won't have to worry about paying for their holiday meal because the Minot Masonic Lodge is picking up the tab.

The lodge partnered with Cash Wise Foods in the Magic City to help pack groceries for 20 family-sized meals.

The bulk purchase saved the lodge a bit of money that they donated to the Salvation Army bell ringer on their way out.

Even though this is the season of giving, the Masonic Lodge says they're dedicated to helping the community year-round.

“One of the things we try to do is make tomorrow a better place by doing one good deed today. The fact that we could even feed one person is a huge thing,” said Ben Lingenfelter, lodge’s worshipful master.
