MANDAN, N.D. - The Mandan Municipal Court got a new home Friday.
The clerk of court said they moved to the Morton County Courthouse because they have easier access to the courtroom and it’s safer for their employees.
“Because of the security. They all have to come through the metal detectors so they're employees would be secure and the second reason is because we have access to the court room easier,” said Mandan Municipal Court clerk DeNica Malard.
The move cost around $15,000. The money came from the City of Mandan’s general fund.
Malard said the old location of the court will be used for HR.
The Municipal Court will be back up and running on Dec. 4.
