Mandan Main Street project

MANDAN, N.D. - Mandan residents expressed their opinions about the Main Street project at a public input session at the Harvest Grill Thursday.

One of the major changes is reducing it from four lanes to three.

"When there's two lanes in each direction they block your visibility, whereas with the three lane you won't have that visibility as blocked to see pedestrians and just generally it calms speeds more," said Justin Froseth, engineering director.

Designers say the goals are to make downtown Mandan better for business and more pedestrian friendly.
