Older folks in the area may not be able to get out of their homes to go food shopping and the Mandan Golden Age Club is stepping up to help raise money to support those in need.

The fall benefit breakfast helps buy food for Meals on Wheels to provide food five times a week to those who either can't afford or are unable to get meals.

"It just makes you feel like you're doing something really good, in fact I ran routes on Friday cause we were short drivers, so I took some meals to some of the people at home and you know they just kind of get excited because there's someone that's come to see them," said Billie Yantzer, activities coordinator at Mandan Senior Center.

The benefit breakfast will continue to run every third Sunday of the month until April.
