MANDAN, N.D. - The Mandan Braves volleyball booster club sponsored Set 2 Serve, a charitable tournament to raise money for Face it Together.
The tournament raised $1,000 to Face it Together, which takes a transformational approach to drug and alcohol addiction. The volleyball team were referees, line judges, and score takers during the tourney.
"Set to serve just the whole title of what the goal was for the team. It means a lot, I think for them to be looking to other organizations that are in the community to make a difference, to bring light to it, is huge, especially at a young age," said Jennifer Horning, Recovery Community Organization.
Horning says interacting with the community and having fun are the key aspects to recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.
