Man killed on Highway 23 in head-on collision with semi

MCKENZIE COUNTY, N.D. - In McKenzie County, a 29-year-old man was pronounced dead after driving in the wrong lane on Highway 23 and colliding head-on with a semi, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Law enforcement says the man was called in for reckless driving while traveling at high speeds in his truck.

As the truck came over a hill on the wrong side of the road, a semi was unable to avoid the crash and hit the truck head-on, overturning it.

The driver of the semi was transported to the McKenzie County Hospital.

The NDHP is investigating the crash, and the name of the deceased man will be released after his family is notified.
