There are always plenty of surprises on "Antiques Roadshow," and that includes an episode that ran Monday shot in West Fargo.
A man identified only as David brought a Rolex watch he bought for about $350 when he was in the Air Force in 1974. Then he tucked it away in a safety deposit box.
The appraiser on the show told him it was similar to one once worn by Paul Newman that auctions for $200,000.
But, because it had the tiny word "Oyster" inscribed on the face, it could sell for $400,000.
Add the fact that the watch was in pristine condition it could fetch up to $700,000.
