Man dies in accident north of Killdeer
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 37-year-old Jared Maturin of Louisiana died when his vehicle collided with another in 'snow fog' on Highway 22 just north of Killdeer Thursday.
The Highway Patrol says the man was headed north on Highway 22 around noon. The second vehicle was going south and trailing a DOT snow plow. The snow being removed was thrown into the air, reducing visibility.
The vehicles collided near the center line and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No one in the southbound car was hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
