WILLISTON, N.D. - Twenty-three-year-old Emanuel Fegans is in custody at Williams County Correctional Center after he tried to outrun police in Williston Saturday afternoon.

It happened just before 5 p.m. in the 22-hundred block of 2nd avenue west in Williston.

Police attempted to pull Fegans’ vehicle over for a traffic violation, but he fled immediately.

A short while later, he hit another car, flipping it onto its top. Four of the five people in that car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Fegans ran on foot from the accident scene and was arrested a short time later.

Police say Fegans is charged with driving under a suspended license, felony involving a motor vehicle and fleeing a police officer.
