Man behind 'no-trespass signs' returns to KMOT Ag Expo
North Dakota state law allows hunters to enter private property unless a no-hunting or no-trespass sign is posted every half mile on their property.
We met a man at this year's KMOT Ag Expo who makes those signs.
Bob Belisle makes no-trespass signs out of tempered hardboard. He says the moisture-resistant signs can be seen for miles and last for years. Belisle started making them about 30 years ago for himself and later turned it into a business.
“I don't get rich doing this, but it's the best thing I've ever done. I enjoy making them, and I really enjoy coming out to these little ag shows,” Belisle said.
This is Belisle's second year at the KMOT Ag Expo. He says he is looking forward to returning next year.
