A 19-year-old Bismarck man was arrested Monday morning after fleeing from officers.
Bismarck Police say they attempted to pull Daniel Hughes over for a traffic violation, but he fled north on S. 26th Street.
When police caught up with Hughes, they ordered him out of the car. Police say Hughes initially complied, but then hit an officer in the face.
Police deployed an electrical immobilizing device three times before getting Hughes into custody.
Hughes was hospitalized and then taken to jail.
Hughes was arrested for assault on a peace officer, fleeing a police officer, preventing arrest, failure to halt and unlawful registration.
