Man arrested after shooting crossbow arrow at another man's truck

A Mandan man was arrested over the weekend after shooting a crossbow arrow at another man’s truck and sending him a threatening text.

Lt. Pat Haug with the Mandan Police Department says Michael Eckis shot the arrow and at another man’s truck and broke a window.

Police say Eckis also sent the victim a text message saying, “The next one goes into you.”

The victim told officers Eckis then went to the man’s home and swung a small wooden bat at him several times.

Eckis was arrested for terrorizing, reckless endangerment, and a warrant.
