Man arrested after breaking into Williston impound lot

WILLISTON, N.D. - Twenty-seven-year-old David Dobbs was arrested after breaking into the Williston Police Department impound lot, and stealing car keys and items from cars.

Prosecutors charged Dobbs with seven counts of possession of stolen property and thirty counts of unlawfully entering a vehicle. Officers say they found items from one of the vehicles in a garbage bin near a camper Dobbs was living in. After questioning Dobbs, he showed police the stolen bundle of keys, wires, cameras, a subwoofer, and a stereo deck.

Police say after further investigation, Dobbs is also facing three drug-related charges.
