Man accused of Walmart arson will appear before a jury in May
A jury trial is scheduled for two days in May for a man accused of setting a fire inside North Walmart on December 13.
Twenty-seven-year-old Andrew Ells will appear before a jury in Burleigh County on May 5 and 6.
Prosecutors say Ells lit a bible on fire in the garden area of the store.
Police say Ells admitted he started the fire, saying it was a distraction so he could steal items from the store.
The cost of damage to the store was approximately $300,000.
Ells is charged with arson and endangering by fire of explosion.
