MINOT, N.D. - A major concrete pour marks a milestone on the substructure of the west portion of the Broadway Bridge.
The pour was scheduled to start around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Nearly 300 cubic yards of concrete had been used.
The structure will hold a critical portion of the weight for the new bridge.
"It's nice to get a project like this, a large concrete pour started early in case there are any complications or issues, you got the day to work on it instead of have a problem later in the day," said Mark Lyman, project information officer.
The project is on schedule and is expected to be completed this fall.
