HETTINGER, N.D. - Montana Dakota Utilities is expanding its wind farm in North Dakota.
The project by ALLETE Clean Energy will add another 16 turbines.
MDU says this will boost its renewable energy from 22 percent to 27 percent.
The expansion with cost a total of $85 million.
Right now, the utility company owns 43 turbines at Thunder Spirit Wind near Hettinger.
The state's public service commission approved the request for expansion in November 2017.
