MINOT, N.D. - The Minot Area Community Foundation prepares to say goodbye to its long-time leader.

Ken Kitzman will be retiring as president early next year after 20 years of service with the foundation.

Kitzman was one of the founding board members and took over as president in 2000.

He has helped raise more than $40 million dollars for the organization including $7 million for recovery efforts from the 2011 flood.

Kitzman says it will be hard to leave the foundation, but he is thankful for the generosity of people who have helped the MACF give back to the community.
