MINOT, N.D. - Cheryl Lenton, a secretary at Minot Central Campus, is retiring after nearly 47 years with the school.
She's been a familiar face behind the front desk for the past five decades, and some of the teachers even say they were students at the school when Lenton was working there. The school was called Minot High School when she began in 1972.
Cheryl says she'll miss the people the most.
“Definitely the staff, especially the teachers, and especially the office staff. We have always gotten along so well, although it's changed over the years. They have been my second family. This has been my second home,” she said.
For some perspective, Richard Nixon was president when Cheryl started working at the school.
