Local community reacts to Sri Lanka bombings

BISMARCK, N.D. - This violence hits close to home many in the Bismarck-Mandan area, as thousands of people pack churches for Easter services. The news was a surprise for some and devastating for others.

In the Bismarck-Mandan area, Easter services continued as planned with some churches reaching crowds of more than 3,000. Glenn Mueller, who plays in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church band, says the news brought him to tears.

"It's a shock, in church today, we were just saying prayers about peace with the nations," said Glenn Mueller, of Bismarck.

Rev. Craig Schweitzer says the community is keeping the victims in their thoughts.
