MINOT, N.D. – Friday is the 6th annual Statewide Live United T-shirt Day. Souris Valley United Way encouraged the young, old, individuals and businesses to not only wear the t-shirts, but also live it. First International Bank and Trust did just that.
"Every year that I have been, at least for the last 10, this is something that we have done every year on this day. Everyone is willing to participate. If you look around here today, everyone is wearing this blue shirt and wearing it with pride. Because it is something that we take seriously and we do live united every day,” said Brock DesLauriers, First International Bank and Trust vice-president.
Danielle Rued says that the day is all about bringing awareness to the community and showing the support United Way has for Minot by making it a better place to work, live and play.
"So exciting to see how many people we had come together. We have over 200 people wearing shirts that were bought this year, so we will see how many had shirts from last year. It's amazing to see how much support that we have for the Souris Valley United Way,” said Danielle Rued, United Way campaign coordinator.
