LINCOLN, N.D. - A business owner, police officers and members of the community came together at Lincoln Police Department to give Christmas gifts to children who may not receive a gift this year.
With the help of more than 200 people around the area, 40 families will have presents on Christmas. The Lincoln police got together in the fall to discuss how to help the less fortunate.
"We don't always get to be warm and fuzzy at this time of year, or anytime of year, so we love to do what we can to help the people in our community and kinda give back," said Mark Thueson, officer at Lincoln Police Department.
Children said that they feel ready for Christmas now.
