A photo of Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has been archived in the Library of Congress.

This wet-plate photo, by Bismarck photographer Shane Balkowitsch, is of Thunberg at Standing Rock Reservation in October. The glass plate, titled "Standing For Us All" was creating using century-old camera techniques. Balkowitsch says it's his most important work to date.

"Their response to the picture, they were all smiles and just very excited to the image come to life in front of them and I looked up at her father and said 'Can we do one more?' and he said 'absolutely'," said Balkowitsch.

Thunberg posted the photos to social media, which has more than a million likes. Another image, a close-up of Thunberg's face, will be featured at the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm.
