Legislators get to work when hotel floods

Most legislators want to go back to their hotel after a long day at the capitol and relax. Five legislators decided to pull a second shift when their hotel was starting to flood.

Representative Thomas Beadle from Fargo says he and a few other legislators saw water coming in on the first floor of their hotel, so they jumped in to help clean it up.

Beadle says a pool pump caused water top pour into the hallway and pool room.

“That's our mentality of yea we're legislators, we're staying there as guests at the hotel but when you see this poor guy and water's pouring out and they don't know what to do, what else are you going to do?” said Beadle.

Beadle says by Tuesday morning, carpet was in the process of being removed.
