BISMARCK, ND- The Senate Appropriations committee will discuss house bill 1174, which will determine whether to waive income tax on social security benefits.
The bill had a 5-1 "do not pass" recommendation from the Senate Finance and Taxation Committee.
Lawmakers will also look into house bill 2146, which would determine how much money will go toward relocating Pioneer village from the state fairgrounds.
The society says they need at least $800,000 for the move, but the bill is proposing $250,000.
Finally, the Senate will reconsider Governor Burgum's veto of senate bill 2055, which sets the budget section authority.
The budget section and Governor Burgum's veto powers were brought before the state Supreme Court and decided after the 2017 session.
