BISMARCK, ND- The North Dakota legislature ends another work week, but they do have a couple of things on their schedule for today.
There will a vote on senate bill 2256, which would create a new layout for placing measures on the ballot.
The entirety of a measure for a constitutional amendment must be printed on the ballot unless the amendment is more than 500 words. If that's the case, each polling station must provide a copy of the full document at a voters request.
There will also be a vote for resolution 4015, which would change the deadline and signature requirements for petitions of constitutional amendments.
The petition would need to be submitted to the secretary of state no less than 240 days before A statewide election.
