BISMARCK, ND- Today at the North Dakota Legislature senators will consider several bill up for vote.
House bill 1311 addresses law enforcement training for missing and murdered indigenous people cases.
The bill would promote training on human trafficking investigating, prevention and victim services.
And the Senate will revisit two bills that were delayed from yesterday.
First, house bill 1200 could prevent extra taxation on plastic bags and straws. Minot is one of the cities considering a five cents bag tax.
And the Senate is voting on house bill 1174, which will determine whether to waive income tax on social security benefits.
North Dakota is one of 13 states which tax Social Security benefits.
