BISMARCK, N.D. - The state Agriculture Department is hosting four free produce grower training sessions, to make sure crops are properly handled and cleaned.
Attendance will satisfy the Food Safety Modernization Act, which requires at least one person on a farm to complete food safety training.
"Look at using agricultural water, what sanitation and hygiene means, what are some practices that they can incorporate with post harvest handling of produce," said Agricultural Commissioner, Doug Goehring.

The sessions are a full day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be a one-hour break for attendees to leave for lunch.
