BISMARCK, N.D. - Primary election season has begun and with less than nine months until the general election the North Dakota Women's Network leaders invited people to learn what it takes to run for office.
NDWN says a few people used the skills they learned at these seminars to run for offices at all levels in the state.
"I value the opportunity and experience of running for office. It gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of people on their doorstep in the Bismarck-Mandan area," said 2016 Legislative candidate, Karen Ehrens.
Other topics discussed included campaign finances and how to get volunteers. The next candidacy seminar is scheduled for the fall of 2021.
