Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., will be the new U.S. senator-elect for the state of North Dakota.
"You see the best politics is good policy. And these folks have been taking care of business by taking care of people and policy since the day we got there. And, I am honored that this victory belongs to them as much as it belongs to anybody, because I would tell you that my shop, my office and our service in the United States House of Representatives is what made this victory possible tonight as much as anything," said Cramer.
Incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp said: "You know most of you know I had a health scare, and after that I decided you only have one chance in life. And, you have to make decisions that you think are the best decisions for the people, the best decisions for the future and most importantly the best decisions for our children."
