MINOT, N.D. - The annual KMOT & Minot Area Homeless Coalition Toy Drive wrapped up Friday afternoon after a month of donations from the Minot community.
Donations were bagged, boxed and taped up by members of the Minot Area Homeless Coalition, who came by the station Friday afternoon to collect this year's donations.
Our annual fundraiser set out to collect toys for all ages, and even gift cards for older kids in need.
This year marks the seventh year of partnership between the coalition and KMOT.
They would like to thank the community for making this year another success.
Minot Area Homeless Coalition Executive Director Mac McLeod expressed his gratitude to the community.
“Once again, the community turned out. Awesome, awesome, awesome. We're thankful. And I know that there's going to be a whole lot of families that are going to be thankful. Because there's so many in need. So again, to the community of Minot and the surrounding areas: thank you," said McLeod.
The coalition will begin building Santa's workshop on Monday, where the toys will be handed out to those in need.
All of us at KMOT thank you for supporting the coalition and local families during the holidays.
