The Souris Valley United Way is hosting its fifth annual Community Shower starting June 1.

United Way will be collecting various baby items like diapers and blankets for pantries and families in need. This year, staff say they hope to collect about 12,000 diapers and other items. To reach that goal, staff also say that every donation counts.

“We talked to some of the pantries last year and they said that they were in such low supply that they could only give six diapers to last a family a week and we know that sometimes that might not even last a day. So its really nice to know that if people are interested in giving back they can give to this community shower,” said Danielle Rued, the United Way campaign coordinator.

If you would like to donate, you can drop off your items right here at KMOT or at the Souris Valley United Way
